As the Manager of Plant Sciences you will lead a diverse =20
and active research program in plant conservation, horticulture,=20
biodiversity and systematics. You will make a significant =20
contribution yourself to the research output of the Royal =20
Botanic Gardens, Melbourne. =20
=20
The Royal Botanic Gardens, which includes the National =20
Herbarium of Victoria, is a major national centre for the =20
study of plant diversity and conservation. Its research =20
underpins much of the plant sciences in Victoria, and makes =20
major contributions to international scientific programs. A =20
world-wide herbarium collection of over 1 million specimens =20
is available for scientific study. =20

You will have a PhD degree (or equivalent) with extensive =20
research experience in botany. In addition you will =20
have a record of achievement in leadership, innovation and =20
management. You have excellent communication skills =20
and will use these to enhance the scientific and community =20
profile of the Plant Sciences Branch. =20
