The Draft BioCode has been the focus of much discussion, but not, until
now, that of the "proper" start to the Millenium.  I am probably being a
bit of spoil-sport, but I have to point out that Professor Dessart is
quoting from an outdated version of the BioCode.

The current version, the "Draft BioCode (1997)" recognises the
impracticability of approval by the relevant bodies before 1 January 2000=
,
and so, still conscious of the urgency of introducing provisions set out =
in
the BioCode, sets a date during the first decade of the millenium in the
form "1 January 200n"  (see text below).

I should also take this opportunity to note a change in the URLs for the
Draft BioCode and associated documents (although I believe that those
previously listed  still point to the new URLs).  The details of the seve=

relevant files are below.  In addition, for those who find it convenient =
