Since the address I had on file for our Esteemed Listowner seems to be
non-functional, I'll post this in the hopes that (1) Hugh will see it
during one of his sporadic visits to his office, and turn off his taxacom
subscription temporarily (a message reading SET TAXACOM NOMAIL sent to
LISTSERV at CMSA.BERKELEY.EDU), thanks very much (2) If he does not, that Jim
will see this and disable Hugh's subscription temporarily, thanks very much
(3) other people here who are fond of autoresponders will make a note to
themselves to ALWAYS turn off all listserv subscriptions before enabling
your responder, thanks very much. In the meanwhile, we can all expect to
hear from Hugh's machine every time we post, though hopefully not until the
end of June. Ah, the Brave New Net!
