spec. propr.?

In a botanical (taxonomic) paper recently published by amateurs I
found several names indicated with spec. propr.
The authors want to state with this appendix, that they accept a
taxon (again) at specific rank, which was described earlier by any
author, but in between was combined by other authors to varietal or
subspecific rank.
This appendix 'spec. propr.' were unknown to me up to now, and I
never find it in botanical literature before.Knows anyone about
use of this in botanical literature? Or is this term used in
zoological literature and what is the exact translation?
