Sun-bleaching resistant labels

A colleague of mine has a large plant collection. Plants are labeled
using regular paper labels that are heat laminated. After a few months
the labels are bleahed by the Sun. Other than changing to a material
other than paper, are there ways to protect paper labels from Sun
bleaching?  Thanks.
