Image analysis

There is a free Mac program available called NIH Image that does all kinds
of image analysis, 'though you did not say what kinds of analyses you
wanted to do. The program has been around for over 10 years, and does a lot
of amazing things, as I recall. Adobe Photoshop can also be used for some
other purposes, too.
