Hello -

I have a taxonomic database that I am currently working with. I want to
efficiently combine the counts for all the genera and species under a
specific family or order (other than by hand). I am curious about how
others manipulate their taxonomic data in this way. I am aware of the
NODC codes but they are no longer supported by NODC and are replaced by
the taxonomic serial number that is not useful to me in this effort. If
you could share with me how you do this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your quick response in advance.
