Conference on Biological Informatics
Australian Academy of Science
Canberra, Australia
July 6-8 1998
Most of the major biological discoveries of the past five to ten
years have involved "Biological Informatics"; the rapidly expanding
interface between the life sciences, mathematics and information science,
the physical sciences and environmental science.
The Australian Academy of Science has organised a major international
conference on this area to be held on July 6-8th inclusive in Canberra at
the AAS. Sessions include Biodiversity Informatics, Environmental
Informatics, Molecular Informatics, Medical/Neuroinformatics and
Teaching Informatics.
The speakers include more than a dozen international leaders in
the field making this conference the largest and most complete gathering of
its kind ever held. Its aims are to broaden the view of experts, to inform
policy makers and students of the importance and potential of this exciting
new branch of science.
Program and registration details (daily or full conference) are
