Many fasciation phenomena are caused by Rhodococcus fascians
(=Corynebacterium f.), a gram positive bacterium. It has been shown
to cause this condition on Chrysanthemum, so Bellis could possibly be
a host too (but I have no reference for this). References are:

Phytopathologische Zeitschrift 110:89, 1984. A search of Alta Vista
gives interesting results.
