        Dear Taxacomers,

I am an MSc student from the Department of Biological
Sciences, The National University of Singapore, working under the supervison
of Drs H.T.W. Tan and Lim Saw Hoon. For my research, I will be conducting a
molecular systematics study of the genus Phalaenopsis (Orchidaceae) using
RAPD methods.

If anyone has access to live flowers of such species, I
would really appreciate it if you could post me a few for photography,
illustration and extraction of DNA. All postage fees would be gladly
reimbursed.

Also, I would like to get in touch with anyone who can
provide me with information on these plants that may be useful in my study,
e.g., cultural conditions of these species, pollen studies, pollination
ecology, updates on nomenclatural changes, etc.

Thank you and sorry for any cross postings!

Michelle GOH
