SE Brazil insects (update)

Having received over 110 responses to my earlier request, it's easiest for
me to send this over the lists - and there's another reason or two to do
so, to justify it. First, even though I told people I have no shipping
units, so far a grand total of ONE has arrived. I can't send anyone
anything pinned if I have nothing I can mail pinned insects in. No foolin.
Those of you with whom I have made agreements (including the mutual accord
on the loan conditions) know who you are. Second, you NEED to send me units
*soon* if you want anything at all! I start my Holiday vacation tomorrow
(and may thus have no access to my e-mail - though anyone who needs to
reach me can try dyanega at hotmail.com), and will only be back here in Brazil
for another six weeks after that, with limited time to deal with the loan
processing. Third, the reason I'll only be back here for six more weeks is
that on Feb. 22nd I should be starting as Senior Museum Scientist at the
Entomology Research Museum at the University of California, Riverside,
happily following in Saul Frommer's footsteps.
Finally, given that I got over 110 responses, it strikes me that
other people on the list who have large amounts of insects sorted to family
level might seriously consider using the list as a way to get that stuff
farmed out. For example, I found someone to take EVERY family of
Hymenoptera. I once suggested an "entomological ride board" here, I think I
now have proof the idea has merit, and I might explore it when I get
settled in at UCR.

Peace,

[NOTE THAT I WILL BE ON VACATION FROM 13-31 DECEMBER]
