No, two different people suggested "codex" to me, correctly
or incorrectly.

No, not at all. I have never heard the word "culton." A codon
is a sequence of three nucleotides. Every freshman knows
that.

So, you are saying KIRI is an abbreviation for "Herbarium of
the University of Rhode Island?" I'll have to check my dictionary
to see what the definition of "abbreviation" is.
