I assume that you are referring to the recent request sent around to most of
us for copies of electronic data regarding specimens from Colombia.
Christian Samper and colleagues in Colombia are mounting a monumental effort
to summarize information existing regarding the biodiversity of their
extremely complex country, and the results of that activity will stimulate
enormously activities of conservation and biodiversity studies in Colombia.
We received the request, and promptly sent them all of our data; we saw no
need for a MOU or convenio or anything like that, because we considered the
request a normal collections query.
