November 7 & 8, 1998

Mesquite, Nevada

Meeting Site

Mesquite is located at the Arizona-Nevada border, 77 miles from Las
Vegas, along Interstate 15.  The ECN meetings will be held in the Si
Redd's Oasis Resort Hotel and Casino, starting Saturday, November 7, at
8:30 AM.

Transportation:

There is no public transportation system to Mesquite.  You may fly into
McCarran Airport in Las Vegas and get to Mesquite by rental car (85
miles), or by using one of the shuttle services - St.  George Shuttle
(1-800-933-8320), Auto Bus Shuttle (1-800-500-9786).

Accomodation:

Rooms are available at the Si Redd's Oasis Resort Hotel and Casino, 897
Mesquite Blvd., at $39.00/night plus tax.  For reservations call
1-800-621-0187, ask for the reservation desk, and identify yourself with

the "Entomological Collections Network Group".  The hotel is located off

the west I-15 interchange (exit 120), and includes four restaurants and
a casino.  The resort also has a health center, two tennis courts, and
seven swimming pools.

Pre-registration

Fees are $30, on-site registration fee is $40.  Checks should be made
payable to "The Ohio State University" (NOT to ECN) and sent to Norman
F. Johnson at the address below.

Saturday from 8:00 AM.
