Actually, just today I got a copy of a paper that - even if it only gets
people thinking (I suspect a lot of people will consider it controversial,
even inflammatory) - should be required reading for anyone contemplating
applications and philosophy of cladistics. It comes out of a French
symposium proceedings, and might not get the attention it deserves because
of the journal it's in:
