Web GIS demo

The University of Michigan Fungus Collection (MICH) is pleased to announce
the availability of a demonstration of our web Geographic Information
System (GIS). Interactive distribution maps can be generated for the ca.
9,000 georeferenced collections in a 23,000 record database (mostly
truffles and western USA macro ascomycetes). Most of the georeferenced
collections are from the states of Utah, Idaho, and Washington.

The GIS is a "work-in-progress" and we would greatly appreciate comments
on appearance, operation, design, etc. The demo can be reached from a link
in the announcement box on the MICH home page:

The demonstration is made possible by funding from the National Science
