Plant geography course

I would like to solicit anyone's suggestions in designing a college-level
(upper class) course that covers the subject of plant geography. I am
aware that many courses of this type contain a descriptive survey of
biomes.

The course that I would like to teach would have a laboratory component,
so we would be able to have some more involved, hands-on kind of
experiences.

If any list members would have suggestions of course content (lecture or
lab) and/or any texts or other materials that could be used, I would
appreciate it if you would contact me off of the list at my e-mail
address.

Thank you.
