Graduate Assistantship in Systematic Entomology

Available Spring Semester, 1998, or later, in Department of Entomology,
Texas A&M University

Ph.D. student preferred, but M.S. students considered.

Minimum of three years funding available, contingent on satisfactory
progress.  Includes graduate stipend, waiver of out-of-state tuition,
excellent medical plan, and additional funding to support the research.

Research will be collection-based, monographic and phylogenetic studies in
Diapriidae, a family of parasitic Hymenoptera, as part of the NSF/PEET
Project in the Department of Entomology.  Diapriidae are exceptionally
diverse taxonomically and biologically, target taxa are also important in
controlling agricultural pests.  Opportunities exist for field work and
international collaboration, as well as graduate training in a highly
interactive environment.
