Suddenly I realized that electronic publication of new taxa can have
advantages over printing on paper!.

All hymenopterists are aware of the work of A.A. Girault, who in the first
half of the century described several hundreds of species and genera of
Hymenoptera. Obviously, he wanted to describe as many taxa as possible and
publish them as soon as possible. Until now, Hymenoptera taxonomists are
trying to clean up the mess Girault left for us. May be, if he had published
his papers electronically, they would be all gone by now, and we would have
to deal with his taxa. Unfortunately, he did it on paper.
