Invertebrate zoology taxonomy query

Hi, taxacomers:
I'm actually involved in a study of a Baja California coastal lagoon
biodiversity. Is there a standard Systematic Invertebrate Zoology
taxonomic synopsis anyone of you could recommend? I usually work with
Brusca's, Barnes', an the SCAMIT group publications. However, I keep
running on trouble with specific groups.
