New NYBG Bryophyte Catalog Records Available

        Additional records of bryophyte specimens from Alaska,
     Canada and Greenland have recently been added to the New York
     Botanical Garden North American Bryophyte Catalogue web site:
          (http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/bryo/bry3.html).

        The 21,242 records currently available for searching include:
          -- records of all anthocerote and hepatic taxa in the NYBG
             herbarium from Alaska, Canada and Greenland
          -- records from the moss families Sphagnaceae, Andreaeaceae,
             Andreaeobryaceae, Takakiaceae and Fissidentaceae,
             Ditrichaceae, Bruchiaceae, Bryoxiphiaceae, Dicranaceae,
             Leucobryaceae, Bryaceae from Alaska, Canada and Greenland.

          To be posted on or about 1 July, 1997: Encalyptaceae, Pottiaceae,
              Grimmiaceae, Funariaceae, Splachnaceae, and some other
              miscellaneous smaller families of  mosses from Alaska,
              Canada and Greenland.
