SYSTEMS AND DATABASE MANAGER
The Botany Department at the Natural History Museum, London is seeking a
Systems and
Database Manager.
The position will be to contribute to museum-wide database development and
to provide local shared IT Services and P.C. support for Botany Staff.
You should have a degree preferably in information science. Experience of
supporting PC's and servers in a networked environment (including NT, Novell
and Windows) is essential as is experience of the WWW, design, deployment
and management of multi-user database. Experience of Informix, Access, ODBC,
Ethernet Networks, Image Database and Taxonomic or collections databases is
desirable.
The appointment is for 3 years in the first instance. The starting salary
will be in the range of GBP20,604-GBP32,966 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience. The other benefits include a non
contributory pension scheme, an interest free season ticket loan and 25 days
annual leave.
