BIOLOGY JOB DESCRIPTION:
BIOLOGIST: Grinnell College invites applications for a two-year
appointment at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level, beginning August, 1997. We
seek candidates who are broadly trained and able to teach in our two
introductory biology courses, "Structure and Function of Organisms" and
"Evolution and Ecology". Candidates should also be able to teach an
advanced course in their areas of specialty. A Ph.D. is required and
post-doctoral experience is preferred. Excellent facilities and financial
support for student-faculty research are available. In their letters of
application, candidates should address their interests in undergraduate
teaching in a liberal-arts environment. Send curriculum vitae, three
letters of recommendation, and copies of all transcripts to Diane
