Several books have been written on the Lindbergh kidnapping case.
However, for a quick summary of the wood part, see the following:

Tippo, O. and W.L. Stern. 1977. Humanistic Botany. W.W.Norton & Co,
New York.

Actually the Lindbergh case is more wood technology than it is wood
anatomy, identification or taxonomy.
