Taxonomy in the Popular Media

Re knowing of Herb Wagner - even people involved with films may have
interests beyond film-making itself - and friends with even wider interests.
But it is nice to know that real experts are mentioned.

And since some of the references are old, how about The Chrysalids, a novel
by John someone.  I read it before taking a biology class but have
frequently cited it to those interested in species concepts.  Sorry, cannot
remember the author or the publisher - it was assigned to my sister's class
for reading (eons ago) and I just happened to read it.  Or perhaps books are
not popular media?
