Herbarium design

Our institution is in the process of designing a new biology building, in
which we have the opportunity to plan our herbarium facility (100 cases;
ca. 160,000 specimens) "from scratch."  I would appreciate input from
anyone with knowledge or experience in this area as to general
recommendations and specifications for constructing herbarium quarters
(particular features, climatic parameters, compactor suggestions, etc.).
Please respond to me directly, if possible, so as to not clutter the email
