Where is "Chapada"?

Dear Taxacomers,

Does someone know anything about an old collection locality called
"Chapada"? It seems that Chapada was a "classical" collection point for
early taxonomists (1800's?), but I was unable to find any printed reference
about it. I know that there are many places called "Chapada" in Brazil.
"Chapada da Diamantina" is probably the most famous of them all, but could
that be it?

I have numerous Hymenoptera specimens with very old labels stating only
"Chapada", and I would greatly appreciate any help, any clue you may know
about it!
