A one-year internship is available at the Morris Arboretum of the University
of Pennsylvania and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia to work
on the Flora of Pennsylvania Project. The intern will assist the herbarium
curator, participate in the preparation of a field manual of the plants of
Pennsylvania, attend weekly classes, seminars and field trips and carry out
an independent study project thereby earning graduate credit at the
University of Pennsylvania.

Duration: one year beginning mid-June 1997

Conditions: approximately $5 per hour for a 40 hour week plus full
university benefits including medical insurance and tuition.

Eligibility: the internship is intended for students of botany who have
completed an undergraduate program and are seeking more exposure to the
field before entering graduate school.
