population genetics modeling software

I am teaching a Plant Speciation and Evolution course this Winter quarter
(January through March). I am finishing up lectures and developing new
laboratories, and wanted to include a lab for computer simulations of
population genetic variation under different parameters of selection rates,
stochasticity, population sizes, etc.

Is anyone aware of inexpensive or free software permitting such modeling of
microevolutionary processes?
