Regarding the debate between Lyons-Weiler and DiBenedetto, I hope
subscribers to TAXACOM do not expect one or the other to ever back down
and say "I was wrong! I cast gravel on my head!" This is not humanly
possible in public debates.

The value and ultimate dignity of the "Tom and James Show" as it was
called a while back by someone with a poorly functioning delete key is
that these two clearly well educated men are voicing and explaining for
us problems in systematics as it has become or as it is becoming whether
we like it or not. Even inveterate lurkers have contributed their
comments, to everyone's profit.
