Taxonomy and ethics

I've found the recent discussions on this topic very pertinent to the
Bioethics class I'm teaching this quarter. I'm planning to make a number of
the posts available to my students as fodder for a class discussion. Since
all the Taxacom posts are available on the Web anyway, I don't believe I'm
intruding on anyone, but if you'd like your post on the topic omitted,
please let me know before Wed, Oct 2, when I plan to hand the stuff out. I'm
including entire posts, complete with headers, and unedited. My emphasis
when I present the material will be that "dialogue is good".

If you'd like to know more about the class, check out
