               ENTOMOLOGICAL COLLECTIONS NETWORK

                         1996 MEETINGS

                   University of Louisville

Program will feature presentations on:

 - Entomological collections: USNM profiling standards

 - Entomological collections conservation management principles and
        practices

 - Electronic publishing

 - Procedures for obtaining permits in Mexico and California

 - Update on legal issues and collections

 - Computerization standards for entomological collections

 - Inventories and surveys

 - Workshop on different database programs

 - Business meeting

 - Committee reports


Limited space for two or three other topics of interest.


The actual meetings will be held in the Life Sciences Building on
the campus of the University of Louisville, and the Saturday afternoon
workshop session will be in the Collaborative Learning Center in a nearby
library.

The Saturday night mixer and deluxe hotel accomodations have been arranged
with the Days Inn Downtown, 101 E. Jefferson St., Louisville, KY 40202 at
a rate of $49/night, single or double occupancy.  This hotel is
centrally located downtown two miles from the campus, six blocks from
the Galt House and adjacent to a number of restaurants. There
is a restaurant in the hotel with a varied menu and wide range of
selections and prices for meals. A complimentary airport shuttle is
available.

Transportation has been arranged with Miller Transport Co. at a price of
$5/day with 42 people/school bus.  Please indicate whether you will
require bus transportation.  We want to keep costs to a minimum.  If you
will be driving a van and can assist with transport, we would appreciate
your help.

Reservations can be made by contacting the Days Inn at (502) 585 2200
(FAX: 502 584 5657).  Please mention that you are associated with ECN to
obtain the discount rate.  A block of 50 rooms have been assigned and more
can be obtained. The same rates will be available through the entire ESA
meetings.   However, ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE PRIOR BY 11/25/96 TO
OBTAIN THE DISCOUNT RATE.


The pre-registration fee for ECN will be $25 this year with on-site
registration $35.  Bus transport will be  an additional cost of $5/day.

not be eligible for the discount on registration.
