To day, from Ten Speed Press, my very own copy of the latest from the pen
of David George Gordon: The Compleat Cockroach. David has broken away from
slubs and clams (some of his other books) and come up in the world that we
all know if from nothing else, the stories af Archy.
In the last half hour I have thumbed it well. From the sex life of the
roach to the role of the roach in movies, circusses, literature, art,
stamps, disease, toys etc. it is all there. Alice Gray, the famed former
cockroach lady of the American Museum of Natural History would love it.
This is not a technical book. It is a fun book. Kids and adults alike will
enjoy it.
I look forward to a bit of time to read it from cover to cover. I
certainly intend to have it on hand tuesday when we talk about these
critters in lab.
Good form.
cheers!!! rof
