FNA Names New Managing Editor

The Flora of North America is pleased to announce that James L. Zarucchi
accepted the position of Managing Editor for the project effective 1 March
1996.  Zarucchi received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1982, after
which he held a NATO Postdoctoral Fellowship at the British Museum
(Natural History) at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and then a
Smithsonian fellowship.  He joined the staff of Missouri Botanical Garden
in 1984, where he was coordinator of the Neotropical Legume Project.
Subsequently he co-edited the Catalogue of Flowering Plants and
Gymnosperms of Peru and the Phytochemical Dictionary of the Leguminosae,
and began compiling a checklist of vascular plants of China.  He is a
specialist in Apocynaceae and Fabaceae.
