Male and Female Symbols in Word

The main reason these characters were omitted is that MS Word is business
oriented software and gender distinction is a business no-no.  WordPerfect
is more science oriented (note the extended math symbol sets) but MS has
been giving away MS Office Suite to ensure its own market share.  It might
be grounds for unfair competition.  It is belatedly making up for certain
omissions by providing WordPerfect fonts to those who complain!
