Electronic publishing

One big issue facing the sciences is the cost of journal subscriptions
(especially the institutional rates). Where is the problem? Not with
professional society journals, but with journals produced by some of the
large publishing companies!

Of what relevance is this to 'electronic publishing'? Simply that we need to
avoid the same thing happening with electronic publishing.
