I have had difficulty in locating a locality for an insect specimen
(Trichoptera) I plan to designate as a holotype. Our map library at the
University of Minnesota was unable to offer any help. Maybe someone in taxacom
land can help? The information I have available is that the specimen was
collected by the Cornell University Expedition, Lot 569, 16? June 1920. The
first line on the label reads "El Campamiento" and the second line reads "col.
Parene PERU". I'm not sure if Parene is supposed to be a person's name or a
locality. Maybe someone else has encountered specimens from the same
collection, or has access to a better Atlas than I do. Thanks in advance.
