Don't know about any Hitleria, however, there was quite a flap among
mammalogists a while back over the naming of a new subspecies of rabbit,
Sylvilagus palustris hefneri after a noted American bunny fancier.  I don't
know if any money changed hands on that one, but the name is valid and the
subspecies is on the US endangered species list.
        By the way, if names are for sale, we acarologists could make a mint.
