Dear Taxacomers,
I'm working on the phylogeny and biogeography of a damselfly group mainly
distributed in Southeast Asia (subfamily Calicnemidinae: Odonata, Zygoptera,
Platycnemididae). Mainly using morphological characters, I am considering to
add DNA data to my analysis. This would be in particular interesting with
regard to the divergence times of selected taxa (molecular clock' concept).
The results could be compared with already existing geological data and
refered to vicariance events.
Because of the limited time available for this kind of investigation within
my project, I am looking for people who are already experienced with
molecular work on Odonata (Zygoptera preferably) and would be willing to
cooperate, leading to a joint publication.
Is there anybody interested in this kind of teamwork, or:
Who knows research groups doing molecular work on Odonata?
Any replies should be sent to me directly.
Thank you in advance,
Dirk Gassmann
