Dear taxacomers
On the subject of uniformity it might be relevant to remember that
the studied specimens could be infected with parasitic organisms
(fungi, bacteria, nemas or protozoa and the like) including viruses;
a voucher specimen would hopefully still show evidence of such alien
matter.
