Extinct African Mammal: E. quagga

Good day.  I am trying to help a colleague who is helping an author in Maine
write an illustrated work on extinct African mammals and they are
particularly interested in Equus quagga.  We have found a couple of books
treating this subject broadly and have found illustrations, but the patron
is trying to get more detailed information.

If you are or if you know someone who is familiar with the biology of this
