Systems Theory

Dear TAXACOMERS,

Have enjoyed reading the traffic on this list.

Seeing the description of the list as systematics
prompted me to subscribe.

I am, however looking for lists and any other net resources
(or even books) that deal with Systematics in the broad, systems
theory sense of the word. I understand that much system theory
has come from biology, and am searching for resources
that any of you might be familiar with in this sense of
the word "systematics".  A good example of this genre is
the work of Ludwig Von Bertalanffy "General System Theory"
and its sequelae.

Would any of you learned biologists have references to resources
in this important systems area of theoretical biology? The
references can be to any medium, paper or electronic, mail list,
archive, file etc.
