Dear Listmembers:
Is a zoological genus name first published in Dissertation Abstracts
International available under ICZN rules if in other respects the citation
satisfies the criteria of availability -- e.g., the name is indicated to be
new, a type-species is designated, and there is a statement purporting to
differentiate the proposed new taxon from other taxa?
The case I am investigating was published in 1981.
I would be most grateful for opinions, including reference to the pertinent
Code chapter and verse, or Opinion.
