Hi from Prague, the heart of Europe
There is some movement in ICZN-4 about validity of name and 5 years period to be
published in Zoologhical records.

I am wondering who making this choice which papers / references / books are
"abstracted" in Entomological Abstracts (Cambridge, Publ.). Sometime is
reference published three times and some not at all, looks to me sometime that
papers or books are deliberately omitted ( for example: Mizunuma, T. and Nagai,
S. (1994) The Lucanid Beetles of the World (Mushi-Sha's Iconographic series of
Insects 1). 337 pp. 156 pls. (ca. 800 species are showed in color plates) orfour
parts of "Coleoptera of Japan"). When I have send enquiry to editor, he did not
responded at all.

I have published two part paper about "Beneficial Insects of Australia" in South
Pacific Hydropony Magazine, I have send a copy to publisher of Entomological
Abstracts, but nothing happen, probably I have forgot to include some money as a
tip.

The long time ago there was published abstracts from Y.E.S. Quarterly in Entom.
Abst., but they suddenly stop, despite the magazine is running well.

The journal is not a cheap and I have feeling that we as a customers can be
treated properly. I am wonder if editor has to pay some fee to
Entomol.Abstract.Publisher to have papers abstracted in this journal.
