Flora of China

Missouri Botanical Garden seeks an Editorial Assistant for the Flora of
China project.  This is a challenging opportunity for someone with a
Ph.D. in taxonomy, editorial experience, and strong knowledge in
computer software applications.

The following duties outline the position's
responsibilities: edits manuscripts; verifies bibliographical
citations; corresponds with co-authors; prepares the scientific
index; prepares the project's newsletter and maintains an up-to-date mailing
list; develops a database regarding the novelties, nomenclatural
changes, and distribution extensions of Chinese taxa; completes and
updates the Chinese taxonomic literature; produces taxonomic
treatments; and creates accounts and illustrations, in collaboration
with other Research staff, and makes them available on the Gopher and
World-Wide Web.
