Dear Colleagues:

Bill Ballard (Field Museum of Natural History), Mike Wade, and
I (both at the University of Chicago) are collaborating on a
molecular project on Tribolium (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae).
We need to get recently (= five year or less)
alcohol-preserved material (adults or larvae) of any Tribolium
(except the common stored-product pests species) with adequate
collection data from all over the World. The described species
involved, as far as we know, are:

T. carinatum (America)
T. parallelus (America)
T. gebieni (America)
T. linsleyi (America)
T. giganteum (Africa)
T. semele (Africa)
T. sulmo (Africa)
T. indicum (Africa)
T. thusa (Africa)
T. downesii (Africa)
T. alcine (Madagascar)
T. dolon (Madagascar)
T. ceto (Madagascar)
T. waterhousi (Australia)
T. parki (Australia)
T. cylindricum (Malaysia and East Indies)
T. politum (Riouw Islands)
T. myrmecophilum (Australia)

and

T. antennatum (Australia)

Of course, there may be undescribed species.
Any leads as to how to get a hold of specimens will be greatly
appreciated as well. Many thanks.

Cordially,
