Regarding the number of species (OTUs) that NTSYS-pc can accomodate:  the
largest problem I have attempted was for 500 OTUs.  If I recall
correctly, the size of the input data matrix is limited only by the
memory constraints of your machine (but this may be a function of whether
you are running in protected mode or not).  The person who knows the
correct answer to this is he program's author:
