Lampyrids in western US?

I have heard repeatedly that there are NO fireflies in western US. I thought,
when I first heard this that it refered to native species but today, from a
non-entomologist, I heard that not even introduced species are found there.
Is this correct? Many lampyrids are competent fliers and I know of, at least, oo
ne recent introduction of a lampyrid (to an island). Thus, it appears to me
that the same could have happened in western US. Thanks for the info.
