Language of descriptions

I too like having at least a Latin diagnosis of a taxon in a paper in,
say, a Chinese or Japanese journal, and I would not like to see the
requirement for this changing. I think we botanists have a great
advantage in having references such as W. Stearn's 'Botanical Latin',
which allow most botanists to piece together a diagnosis with minimal
background in Latin (albeit with mixed results if they don't get
someone knowledgeable to check it!) and to translate published
diagnoses or descriptions. Do such useful references exist for
     zoology?
