The Bishop Museum is pleased to announce that our bird, mammal, and
herpetology type specimen database is now accessible through our WWW and
gopher servers at:

The database contains selected information on the 17 bird, 11 mammal, and
6 herpetology type specimens in the Vertebrate Zoology collection at
Bishop Museum. Only primary types are included at this time. Specimens are
mainly from Hawaii and New Guinea.
